Jason

Jason Edward grew up in Chicago, where music has always a part of his life. He played guitar in several bands and began writing original music. His creative passion led him to Los Angeles in 2007 where he took his first industry job for CIA Record Label. Jason took this knowledge and built his sound through a fusion of genres. Through the years, Jason has topped charts as a master remixer, resurrecting old classics through a new light. Jason and Chicago native Dani Deahl collaborated to remix a modern version of Dr. Dre’s “Next Episode”. The remix earned recognition by Insomniac, Run the Trap, and other major blogs. Later, Jason teamed up with Dj City’s very own Kid Cut Up to put a new spin on “Can’t Stop” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This track quickly earned 2nd most-downloaded track in September 2015. Other notable throwback remixes; Michael Jacksons “Thriller” and Earth Wind and Fire “September”. Jason’s music has gained airplay on major radio stations like LA’s Power 106, XM Radio, and DJ City Podcasts.

Jason DJs and performs live all over Los Angeles. He has DJ’d a wide range of venues from the Belasco, The Room Hollywood, Sutra, King King and a variety of special events and weddings. In 2009 he opened for LMFAO and Far East Movement on their “Party Rock Tour”. He is known to have a diverse style which makes him easily bookable for a wide range of events. Through his many styles of music, he can easily read a crowd and bring something familiar, fun and new to each DJ performance. He continues to shape his sound by producing and writing. Jason continues to prove he has a heart for creativity and the drive for success.
