Donny

Donny Bran, aka DJ Slim Dee, was born and raised in Anaheim, California. At a young age, he was exposed to a wide array of music genres; his grandfather loved Jazz, his sister collected R&B records, and his parents enjoyed Merengue on Sunday mornings. He developed a passion for music over the years and began to share it amongst his peers. At age 18 he found interest in the art of turntablism, purchased a pair of Technics 1200’s, and the rest is history. Donny started DJing at local parties and continued to do so throughout college. Upon graduating from the University of Cal State Fullerton, Slim Dee decided to pursue a career as a professional DJ. To date, DJ Slim Dee has DJ’d well-over 1,200 events at more than 75 venues across Southern California including: the 2014 & 2015 Brea Jazz Festival, The Riviera Palm Springs, The Oviatt Penthouse in downtown Los Angeles, The Lighthouse Bar and Grill in San Francisco, and The Pacific Avalon Yacht Charters of Newport Beach. Slim Dee stays busy recording demos and DJing private events such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate parties.
