OHLA, originally from Columbus, Ohio, is an open format DJ residing in Los Angeles, California. Initially self-taught, OHLA was later trained by legendary DJ instructors at the late Jam Master Jay’s Scratch DJ Academy. OHLA’s appreciation for all genres of music motivates her to perform an eclectic set at each event. She loves creatively piecing together crowd favorites, classics, and current hits to give her listeners a well rounded musical experience.

OHLA has held residencies at Loews Hollywood Hotel, Viceroy Santa Monica, Sunset Marquis and Beaches WeHo and is able to cater to many different crowds due to her experience spinning private, public, and corporate events for companies such as BET Networks, ViacomCBS, and Amazon Studios. Her most notable clients have included Lena Waithe and Lisa Vidal.

As a woman who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community, OHLA is proud to use her love of music and skill as a DJ to support venues, brands and corporate clients at their events. OHLA has provided the soundtrack at several events including Amazon Studios ‘Transparent: Musicale Finale’ premiere party, Google X & Waymo’s 2020 Pride celebration, and in partnership with Macy’s at The Trevor Project’s first ever Transgender fashion show to name a few. OHLA also created and DJ’d a mini-series of events dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community called The Sunday Social.

With a diverse decade-long career, OHLA continues to spread her love of music throughout many different facets of the industry. She believes that music is universal and no matter where you go in the world, it is the one language that everyone speaks.
